"DFB is a photographic series capturing subjects riding their bike from behind on some 200+ streets, avenues and lanes below 14th street in New York City. The result is an environmental portrait for each street and subject with a goal to highlight a set of individuals, emerging and established, each uniquely contributing; culturally, socially and physically, to make this part of the city what it is today. Subjects photographed to date include industrial designers, architects, creative directors, restauranteurs, entrepreneurs, hoteliers, artists and academics."
I love this! This is such an AWESOME idea. Pictures like these always leave you hanging- you want to know what they look like from the front too. Oh and another thing, I think I need to move to the West Village stat. Why are the streets there so beautiful?!
Did you have a lovely Valentine's Day yesterday? What did you do? I did a girls-night-in which kind of morphed into a semi girls-night-out involving lots of mandatory cream puffs and chocolate flavoured wine.
I can't help but get a little jealous of missing out on all the ruckus that's happening in NYC for fashion week. For those of you who aren't there, I'm sure you feel the same. The weather does sound like it's rather nippy over there and I just want to applaud the awesome ladies wearing floral prints for trying to usher in Spring a little early.
I adore Céline but I'm really not into the whole floral ON floral thing- a tad excessive- but I do love a good statement print and coloured blooms do hit the spot when done singularly. Shopbop has some great basic pieces to build-up on if you haven't already so click away: SHOP THE FLORAL TREND!
I'm having this kind of ongoing obsession with burgundy nowadays. That and mustard yellow but I'm so happy that it's popping up everywhere on streetstyle blogs, editorials and collections alike. Especially love that glossy burgundy Alexander Wang did for his Fall 2012 collection. I'm just so into this shade, the last thing I bought were in fact two t-shirts of this colour!!!
